About the package

A getaway to the Chusmiza ravine that combines hot springs, Aymara culture, and a guided hike with our llamas to the petroglyphs, along the ancient caravan route of the Qhapaq Ñan. Without transfer: you arrive on your own at the hostel. Includes 1 night in a double room with private bathroom, 1 breakfast, 2 lunches, and 1 dinner, entrance to the hot springs both days, Spanish-speaking guide, the hike with llamas (with helmet and poles), and towels or robes depending on availability.

How the stay goes

1. Day 1: Hot springs and night in Chusmiza — You arrive on your own to Chusmiza and enter the Chusmiza Hot Springs (entrance included). Typical lunch and check-in from 3:00 pm. Free afternoon to rest at the hot springs or explore the Aymara village. Dinner at the hostel and bonfire under the starry sky, weather permitting.
2. Day 2: Hike with llamas to the petroglyphs — Breakfast with homemade bread and egg paila. From 10:30 am, guided hike with our llamas to the petroglyphs: 6 km along a mule track, about 2 and a half hours, with helmet and poles. Check-out, hearty lunch at the hostel, and optional final thermal bath.

Conditions

Price per person, VAT included. Without transfer: you arrive on your own to Chusmiza. Bonfire and astronomical observation depend on weather conditions. Minimum recommended age for the llama hike: 12 years. Drinks and tips not included.
